How much does a session cost?

Accepted Answer

A 60-minute session costs $95, and a 90-minute session costs $145. We recommend starting with a 90-minute session for the best results.

Is insurance accepted?

Accepted Answer

No, insurance is not accepted. The practice accepts only cash, check, or credit card. Due to the nature of how insurance coverage works and reimburses, insurance is not accepted.

You will receive a receipt for each session that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement for self pay.

Every body is different, and every session is unique. My goal is to help you become an active participant in your health. By working together, we can:
Increase Body Awareness: Understand pain patterns and structural distortions.
Improve Movement: Increase flexibility, improve posture, and move more efficiently.
Manage Stress: Develop strategies to better manage daily tension and discomfort.

Your First Visit: What to Expect
1. Preparing for Your Session I utilize a paperless system for your convenience. Please look for an online intake form sent via email from Longwell Massage Therapy (check your junk folder just in case!). You are also welcome to bring any supportive documentation, such as imaging reports or physician orders.
2. The Initial Consultation Much of our first visit is dedicated to a comprehensive evaluation. We will discuss your health history and chief complaints, followed by a postural evaluation and soft tissue examination. This ensures we develop a treatment plan tailored specifically to your goals.
3. The Massage Experience
Tailored Treatment: Each session begins with a brief 10–15 minute review to track progress and adjust our goals.
Comfort & Privacy: Your privacy is always honored. Professional draping is used at all times, only uncovering the area being treated.
Communication: I encourage discussion during our sessions; your feedback is vital to the treatment's success.
Scheduling: We offer 60 and 90-minute sessions to accommodate your needs.

How often should I get therapy (Massage, or Lymphatic Drainage, CST, FSM, etc.) and how many sessions will it take?

Accepted Answer

There is no "one-size-fits-all" answer. While simpler issues may resolve in just a few visits, chronic pain and complex conditions—such as autoimmune disorders, toxicity, or specialized cases like Arachnoiditis, Lymphedema, Chronic inflammation—require more time and cumulative treatment.
Ideally, starting with 1–2 sessions weekly for the first month allows for the best results. Then we would reevaluate and determine how to proceed. That said, your treatment plan is a partnership. We will tailor the frequency of your visits to balance your clinical needs with your personal schedule and resources.

Can any of your therapies like Lymphatic Drainage help with hardened, fibrotic, and/or swollen breasts (abdomen, arms, or legs)?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Lymphatic Drainage can help with hardened or swollen areas, but the effectiveness depends on the severity and underlying causes. Treatment may require several sessions and can include Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), as well as Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) and Fascial Release techniques. I'll also teach you self-care methods to manage the condition at home.

Question 6

Can Massage and/or Microcurrent help with scars, fibrosis, burns, or post surgical or radiation therapy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Scars can cause pain and tension, block or hinder blood and lymphatic circulation, as well as proper nerve function, and can harden further to create adhesions and/or fibrosis in some cases. It can effect a small area, or can have a wide spread effect. This can influence pian and/or tension patterns, or have an impact on things like movement and posture. It can influence breathing, digestion, and other bodily processes. It can cause change sensation, cause discomfort, and pain. It can also create compensation and tension patterns throughout the body. 
Doing Scar Tissue Massage, along with Microcurrent, as well as work on hardened fibrotic tissue, may help reduce these effects or challenges.

How many Lymphatic Drainage sessions do I need after plastic surgery?

Typically 4 to 10, unless there are specific areas that need more attention, like fibrotic tissue (hardened areas) that don't resolve during that time.

Yes, Lymphatic Drainage and CranioSacral Therapy can help with sinus congestion and facial puffiness. The effectiveness depends on the underlying cause. Some issues can be resolved quickly, while others may require ongoing treatment. I'll also teach you self-care techniques to manage the condition at home.
